Welcome to The Golden Network, a National Chapter of Romance Writers of America.  Our members are part of a special group as they are all Finalists in RWA’s National Golden Heart Competition.

The board represents the best interests of the chapter members by creating or amending rules for contest and membership, presenting a Retreat and hosting a Dessert Reception to celebrate the success of its members at the National Conference each year.

All Golden Heart Finalists are welcome as the chapter was designed for you.  To help you network at conferences, support your writing efforts, and offer a place to share information, celebrate successes and commiserate defeat with gentle encouragement.

Annual dues are due every January.  The chapter’s writing contest, The Golden Pen, helps prepare writers for RWA’s National Golden Heart competition.  The funds from dues and the contest are used to host exciting events at the National Conference.  These events allow our membership to network with editors and agents, greet incoming TGN members and celebrate those members who’ve sold the past year.  It’s also a moment to congratulate the Golden Pen winners.

The chapter runs a private email loop where we gather news and issues that are important to our members. Do you have questions?  Need guidance?  Want support? Members are always present to offer encouragement and support.

The entire organization is a group of like-minded individuals who write for the ultimate goal–a publishing contract.  As writers we all strive for time with our writing.  TGN operates with a few volunteers willing to give up their time and skills to help other members.  Join the team!

The Board looks forward to working on the members’ behalf this coming year.  May each of you land a publishing contract!
